Tripod stool, 1882 (c)

This wooden stool was taken from Arabi Pasha after his defeat at Tel-el-Kebir on 13 September 1882. Arabi was an Egyptian general who fought for self-governance. His defeat led to British control of Egypt and the Suez Canal.
