A Private of the 3rd or Kings Own Dragoons, 1812

The 3rd (or King's Own) Dragoons served in the Peninsula from 1811 to 1814, during which time it fought at Salamanca (1812) and Vitoria (1813). It missed Waterloo (1815), but joined the Army of Occupation in France briefly before engaging in policing duties in England and Ireland.
