Seringapatam Medal 1799
This silver gilt medal was presented to all British and Indian soldiers who had fought at Seringapatam during the 4th Mysore War (1799). It depicts the storming of the city on one side with the British lion triumphing over the tiger of Mysore on the other. The medal was issued in gold, silver and bronze and is normally found with a yellow ribbon.
