2nd Madras Regiment Light Cavalry on parade, 1879

The uniform is very similar in style for British officers, Indian officers and other ranks. The Indian officers and men wear the turban shako; the British officers wear the white Colonial pattern helmet, which is also worn by the trumpeters and farriers.
