The Former 'Hyderabad Contingent' Infantry, 1910

Five figures representing 94th Russell's Infantry, 95th Russell's Infantry, 96th Berar Infantry, 97th Deccan Infantry and the 98th Infantry. These regiments were formerly part of the semi-independent princely state of Hyderabad's forces. In 1903 they joined the reorganised British Indian Army.
This is the original artwork for an illustration in Major G F MacMunn's 'Armies of India', published in 1911.
