India General Service Medal 1854-95, with clasp, 'Burma 1889-92', awarded to Captain MacCarthy Reagh Emmet Ray, 7th (Duke of Connaught Own Rajputs) Regiment of Bengal Infantry
Silver, circular campaign medal with an effigy of Queen Victoria and inscription, 'Victoria Regina', on the obverse; on the reverse, the figure of Winged Victory crowning a kneeling figure with a laurel wreath; red and dark blue ribbon with clasp, 'Burma 1889-92'.
Ray went on to serve in China during the Boxer Rebellion and he was awarded the Distinguished Service Order for gallantry exhibited during the Tibet Exhibition in 1904.
