The Nagas were a hill-tribe from the Assam-Burma border area. During the Abor Expedition of 1911-1912 they were valued greatly as scouts, porters and labourers, a role they were to play again during the Burma campaign in the Second World War.
From an album of 101 photographs taken by Captain Smithers (Orderly Officer), Captain Melville (Staff Surgeon), Captain Poole (Reuters) dealing with the Abor Expedition (1911-1912).
