Founded in 1907 as a first aid link between front-line units and field hospitals, the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry (FANY) personnel drove ambulances and worked in field hospitals, soup kitchens and canteens. They provided such assistance in both world wars and today continue to offer aid to civilians and the military during times of emergency.
