Battalion company officer's coatee, 37th (North Hampshire) Regiment of Foot, 1821-1829
Scarlet wool fabric, long-tailed coatee with yellow wool fabric facings and pewter buttons.
After service in the West Indies during the Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815), the 37th (North Hampshire) Regiment of Foot served for 11 years in Canada from 1814. It was briefly back in England for a year in 1825, before moving to Ireland for 17 years.
