Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee celebrated her 50 years on the throne. The occasion was marked by events across Britain and the Empire and included a Grand Military Review at Aldershot on 9 July 1887. The Queen reviewed 60,000 of her soldiers from a specially built pavilion. Members of the Royal Family and guests from all over Europe and the Empire attended the event.
