Field officers' short-tailed coatee, Belper (Derbyshire) Local Militia, 1808-1815
This scarlet coatee, with yellow facings and white metal buttons, was worn by Lieutenant-Colonel John Cressy Hall. Formerly Captain Commandant of the Alfreton Volunteers, in 1808 Hall became a major in the Belper Local Militia. This regiment was disbanded in 1816.
