Captain Alexander Morison, Bengal Army, 1804 (c)

Alexander Morison (or Morrison) (1757 or 1758-1827) joined the East India Company in 1780 and was an Ensign from 1781. Promoted lieutenant later that year, he served in the Third Mysore War of 1790-1792. Morison was a captain in the 6th Bengal Native Infantry from 1800 before transferring to the newly-raised 21st Bengal Native Infantry in 1804. A major from 1805, he retired four years later and died in England in 1827.
