Officer's full dress tunic, Lieutenant-Colonel George Henry Badcock, 7th Bengal Lancers, 1902 (c)

George Badcock was first commissioned into the King's Own (Yorkshire Light Infantry) in 1892. He transferred into the Indian Army in 1894. By 1902 he was serving in the 7th Bengal Lancers (later 7th Hariana Lancers). By 1910 he had achieved the rank of Major. He retired in 1913, but was recalled for service in 1914, finally retiring in 1919 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
