Formation badge of Supreme Allied Command South East Asia (SACSEA)
South East Asian Command was established in August 1943 under the command of Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatten in order to oversee all air, sea and land operations in that theatre. The emblem of SACSEA was a phoenix arising from the flames. It was said to represent the Allies rising from the ashes of the Japanese-occupied territories.
