Officer's Tarleton pattern helmet, Westminster Volunteer Cavalry, 1800 (c)
This black helmet with black, red and white plumes, belonged to a member of the Westminster Volunteers, a regiment raised in 1797. By 1806 it numbered 177 officers and men. Their uniform was blue with white collars and cuffs decorated with gold lace and braid.
