Shako plate, 74th (Highlanders) Regiment of Foot, 1869 (c)

This unit was raised in 1787 and existed until the 1881 Army reforms when it became part of the Highland Light Infantry. The badge depicts the regimental number surrounded by the word 'Highlanders'.
