Waistbelt clasp, 30th (The Cambridgeshire) Regiment of Foot, 1856-1881

Waistbelt clasp wth regimental number '30' surmounted by crown within a circlet bearing the title, 'Cambridgeshire Regiment'.

Raised in 1689, this infantry regiment served in many campaigns until the 1881 Army reforms when it was merged into the East Lancashire Regiment. Its motto was ''Spectemur Agendo' (meaning 'Let Us Be Judged By Our Deeds').
