French and English grammar book belonging to Lieutenant (later Field Marshal Sir) Garnet Joseph Wolseley

Published in 1817 by Sir R Phillips and Company of London, the inscription on this book claims that it saved the life of Wolseley during the Crimean War (1854-1856) when it stopped a Russian bullet during an engagement before Sevastopol.
