Cap badge, other ranks, Corps of Military Police, 1930 (c)

Metal badge with the royal cypher for King George V, 'GVR', surmounted by a crown, within a wreath, with a scroll below bearing the unit title, 'Military Police'.

This unit was responsible for enforcing the law and maintaining discipline within the British Army. In 1992, it became part of the Provost Branch in the newly formed Adjutant General's Corps. Although no longer an independent unit, the military police retain their older identity and cap badge.
