Cap badge, other ranks, The Queen's Bays (2nd Dragoon Guards), 1920-1952

The regimental title 'Bays' within a wreath surmounted by a crown.

The 2nd Dragoon Guards had been raised in 1685 but it was not until 1767 that the regiment's custom of only riding bay-coloured horses was recognised in its title and added to its badge.
