Cap badge, other ranks, 1st The Royal Dragoons, 1935 (c)

This unit was raised in 1661, making it the oldest cavalry regiment of the line in the British Army's history. Its cap badge depicts the Royal Crest of the lion and crown. The motto of the Regiment was 'Spectemur agendo' (Judge us by our deeds).
