Other ranks' glengarry badge, The Highland Light Infantry, 1900 (c)

This regiment's badge includes the Star of the Order of the Thistle with a bugle horn and monogram 'HLI' in the centre. Below this is an elephant and the battle honour 'Assaye', won by its predecessor regiment the 74th Foot in 1803.
