Queen Victoria's carriage and escort crossing London Bridge, Diamond Jubilee, 22 June 1897

The Grand Royal Procession to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria was held in London on Tuesday 22 June 1897. The Queen, still wearing black in mourning for the death of her husband, Prince Albert, was carried in an open carriage, drawn by eight horses, from Buckingham Palace to St Paul's Cathedral where a Service of Thanksgiving was held.
