General Pierre Francois Bosquet and Captain Dampierre, 1855 (c)

During the Siege of Sevastopol Bosquet's (1810-61) corps occupied the right wing of the besieging armies opposite the Mamelon and Malakov redoubts. He led his corps at the storming of the Mamelon on 7 June 1855 and was in command of all the Allied storming troops during the assault of 8 September.
