Major-General Lockyer and two of his staff, 1855
Photograph by Roger Fenton (1819-1869), Crimean War, 1855.
Fenton spent March to June 1855 in the Crimea as an official campaign photographer. He was paid by the British government and recorded the participants and landscapes for posterity.
