NCOs and men of the 2nd King Edward VII's Own Gurkha Rifles (The Sirmoor Rifles) at Dehra Dun, 1938

The Gurkhas are in full dress uniform apart from the middle figure who wears traditional dress. Several Rifleman are armed with the Short Magazine Lee Enfield Rifle (SMLE), the standard infantry weapon of the Indian Army at this time.
