Canadian soldiers of Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry defending the Frezenberg Ridge at the 2nd Battle of Ypres in 1915. The figures depict a two riflemen firing and a soldier in a kilt about to throw a grenade. The two main figures in this sketch are included in Wollen's finished oil painting of the battle.
