Ross M1910 Mk III .303 inch straight-pull bolt action rifle, 1915

This weapon was manufactured by the Ross Rifle Company in Canada. It was the main rifle of the Canadian Army from 1914 to 1916. But it proved too delicate for the conditions of trench warfare and there were problems with its ammunition. It was withdrawn from front line service, but continued to be used by many Canadian snipers until the end of World War One (1914-1918) due to its accuracy.
