Hastings House, Calcutta, 1880 (c)
Photographic postcard by Bourne and Shepherd, India, 1880 (c).
The house was built in the 1760s for the first Governor-General of Bengal, Warren Hastings. Subsequent British Governor-Generals resided there until the early 19th century, when Government House was constructed. It is now the National Library of India.
One of 121 photographs from an album compiled by Colonel A H McCleverty, 2nd Queen Victoria's Own Rajput Light Infantry and 7th Rajput Regiment, 1920-1925.
