A column of men from the 2nd Queen Victoria's Own Rajput Light Infantry march through Baghdad with donkeys loaded with supplies and ammunition. British and Indian troops entered Baghdad, the principal city of Turkish-controlled Mesopotamia, on 11 March 1917.
