Field service forage cap, side hat, standard type, worn by W M Collingson, Bombay Light Patrol, 1933 (c)
Dark blue melton cap with white melton crown, dark blue melton curtain and peak and white melton piping. White metal buttons with the unit initials, 'BLP' and a standard pattern regimental badge with King's crown.
In 1933 the Light Motor Patrol of the Bombay Battalion Auxiliary Force (India) and the Bombay Light Horse were amalgamated to form the Bombay Light Patrol. The Latin motto of the unit was 'Urbis Prima in Indis', 'The First City in India'.
