Lambskin flounce, 1st (Royal) Dragoons, 1901 (c)

The 1st (Royal) Dragoons, raised in 1661, was the oldest cavalry regiment in the British Army. Today its successor regiment, the Blues and Royals, Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment, can still be seen riding their smart horses with lambskins over their saddles.
