Soldiers of 2nd Northern Nigeria Regiment, West African Frontier Force, at Ibi, Nigeria, 1901 (c)

Photograph, West Africa, 1901 (c).

The uniform of the regiment consisted of khaki shirt and breeches, a cummerbund and a red fez. The red 'zouave' jacket was worn for parades. No footwear was worn by the rank and file, even on parade, bare feet being usual in the men's civilian life.
