Soldiers from 'F' Company, 2nd Northern Nigeria Regiment, at Gurin on the border between Nigeria and the German colony of Kamerun (now Cameroon). The Northern Nigeria Regiment of the West African Frontier Force was formed in 1900 by an amalgamation of the West African Field Force and the Royal Niger Constabulary companies in Northern Nigeria.
