The Hausa are a largely Muslim people from what is now northern Nigeria and south eastern Niger. There are also significant numbers found in regions of modern-day Sudan, Cameroon, Ghana, Cote d'Ivoire, and Chad and smaller communities scattered throughout West Africa.
