The arrival of Major General Roberts' Force at the town of Bundi in Rajputana, Indian Mutiny, March 1858
Watercolour panorama in two sections, probably by John North Crealock, 1858.
Inscribed, 'The 1st Division of the force is shown already in camp the 2nd Division, passing through the town and arriving at the camp site'.
In 1858 Wray was appointed Field Commissary of Ordnance to the Rajputana Field Force under Major General Henry Gee Roberts. He is likely to have commanded the siege train (depicted in this panorama) at Kotah, 24-30 March 1858. He was singled out for praise in Roberts' despatch published in the London Gazette 11 June 1858: 'To Major Wray, Field Commissary of Ordnance, my most especial thanks are due for the uninterrupted hard work and the energy he has displayed throughout.'
The panorama was exhibited at the 1886 Colonial and Indian Exhibition at the Royal Albert Hall.
