Knocked-out howitzer on Bismarck Hill, Tsingtao, November 1914

British and Japanese forces besieged the German port of Tsingtao in China between September and November 1914. During this time it was subjected to a heavy bombardment by Japanese howitzers that damaged the port facilities and its defences.
