Field officer's full dress coatee, 27th (Inniskilling) Regiment of Foot, 1810 (c)
In 1810 the 27th (Inniskilling) Regiment of Foot was stationed on Sicily. It had arrived there in 1805 from Naples and left the island in 1812 for service in the Peninsular War (1808-1814), fighting its way up through Spain and into France in 1814. At Waterloo (1815) the regiment sustained 480 casualties.
