Pattern 1827 Rifle Regiment Officer's Sword used by Kenrick Verulam Bacon, 2nd Jaeger Corps, British German Legion, Crimean War, 1855 (c)

Ensign Kenrick Verulam Bacon was commissioned into the 2nd Jaeger Corps of the British German Legion on 17 August 1855 when he would have purchased this sword, a variant of the Pattern 1822 Infantry Sword with Rifle Regiment badge incorporated into the guard.
