Other ranks' cap badge, The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment), 1898 (c)
The badge of this regiment depicts a flaming grenade. On the ball of the latter is a crowned Garter in which there is a rose. The grenade was common to all British fusilier regiments, but the 'The Rose within the Garter and crown over it' was granted to this unit alone in 1751.
