Bearskin badge, 103rd Regiment (Royal Bombay Fusiliers), 1869 (c)
This unit entered British Army service in 1862 but its origins stretched back to the 17th century when the East India Company first raised units of European troops to guard its Bombay settlement.
The badge features the flaming grenade symbol of British fusilier regiments and the regimental name and numeral. These are surrounded by several of the battle honours of the regiment.
