Other ranks' cap badge, The King's Own Scottish Borderers, 1930 (c)

The badge shows Edinburgh Castle set upon St Andrew's Cross and within a band carrying the unit title. Above is the motto of Edinburgh 'Nisi Dominus Frustra' ('Without the Lord, All is in Vain') and below another 'In Veritate Religionis Confido' ('I Put My Trust in the Truth of Religion').
