'Entrance into the Kojak Pass from Parush', 1839 (c)

On its way to Afghanistan, the British Army of the Indus crossed the Khojak Pass. Located between Quetta and Chaman on the route to Kandahar, the pass was over 7000-feet tall at its highest point and about five miles long. Atkinson (1780-1852) accompanied the force as Superintending Surgeon.
