Arthur Pemberton Hodgson, Madras Civil Service, 1845

Arthur Pemberton Hodgson (1824-1895) was the fifth son of Major-General Christoper Hodgson, Bombay Artillery, and Elizabeth Rowlandson. Arthur Hodgson worked in the Madras Civil Service for twenty years from 1845. He was the Joint Magistrate and Sub-Collector of Kistna from 1863 before resigning the service in 1866, when he was placed on an invalid pension.
