Life Guards, Trumpeter in State Dress, 1828

One of 10 lithographs by M Gauci after E Hull, 1828. Published by Engelmann, Graf, Coindet and Company, 1828.

During state occasions and Royal celebrations the Life Guards' trumpeters and horn players wore handsome uniforms that were lined with sateen and decorated with velvet and gold covered lace. These uniforms are still worn today during ceremonial events.
