Car pennant, 14th Army, used by General Sir Frank Messervy, 1943-1945

During the Burma campaign, Messervy commanded 7th Indian Infantry Division, which fought in the Arakan and then the Battle of Kohima in 1944. He was then promoted to the command of IV Corps, leading it during the advance through central Burma in early 1945.
