From left to right they are Major-General (later Lieutenant-General Sir) Frank Messervy, Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatten, the Supreme Allied Commander South East Asia, Lieutenant-General (later Sir) Harold Briggs and Lieutenant-General Sir Philip Christison. The photograph was taken just before the Battle of the Admin Box.
