'Jacko after the coalmine', 3rd County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) at Thoresby Park, Nottinghamshire, 1940

Thoresby Hall is a country house situated near Budby in Nottinghamshire. During World War Two (1939-1945) part of the estate was requisitioned by the British Army.

While the Sharpshooters were at Thoresby 'A' Squadron appear to have visited Allerton Bywater Colliery in neighbouring West Yorkshire.
