A soldier of 3rd County of London Yeomanry in silhouette, Thoresby Hall, 1940

The sentry is armed with a Mark 1 No. 4 Lee Enfield Rifles and bayonet.

Thoresby Hall is a country house situated near Budby in Nottinghamshire. During World War Two (1939-1945) part of the estate was requisitioned by the British Army.
