Two British soldiers of 3rd/4th County of London Yeomanry (Sharpshooters) explore Thoresby Park, Nottinghamshire, 1940

Thoresby Hall is a country house situated near Budby in Nottinghamshire. During World War Two (1939-1945) part of the estate was requisitioned by the British Army.

The soldiers are named by Sale as, 'Freddie [and] Dick'.
